New: SG to seek out best confectionery departments

This year for the first time SWEETS GLOBAL NETWORK will award the SÜSSER STERN to the best confectionery departments in Germany. The new prize honours outstanding success in sales and presentation of confectionery. Furthermore it is hoped that the SÜSSER STERN will encourage retailers to become even more involved with high-impulse confectionery products.

A jury of experts drawn from retailing and manufacturing will select prize winners in the following categories:

• specialist stores and confectionery departments in department stores
• supermarkets up to 1,200 m²
• supermarkets up to 4,000 m²
• supermarkets and hypermarkets over 4,000 m²





The awards will be presented on November 18th 2010 at a ceremony during the 11th International SG Sweets Business Forum in Berlin.

All prize-winners will be featured in (a special edition of) the SG SWEETS GLOBAL NETWORK magazine.
