In 2011 SWEETS GLOBAL NETWORK awarded the
SÜSSER STERN to the best confectionery departments in Germany for the first time. The new prize honours outstanding success in sales and presentation of confectionery. Furthermore it is hoped that the
SÜSSER STERN will encourage retailers to become even more involved with high-impulse confectionery products.
A jury of experts drawn from retailing and manufacturing has selected the prize winners in the following categories:
• specialist stores
• confectionery department in department stores
• supermarkets up to 4,000 m²
• supermarkets and hypermarkets over 4,000 m²
The awards were presented on November 18th 2010 in a ceremony during the 11th International SG Sweets Business Forum in Berlin.
All prize-winners were also featured in (a special edition of) the SG SWEETS GLOBAL NETWORK magazine.
